The path to creation. A synesthetic mind and soul, Stéphane Humbert Lucas studies tempera in Antibes, France, with a Flemmish master. The creator then follows the prestigious Beaux-Arts teachings in Paris, under the supervision of Jean Cardot. In the Center Pompidou area in Paris, he opens, together with his companion Christa Patout, a boutique dedicated to prestige perfumery, where he will exhibit, among his own paintings and drawings, his first brand NEZ A NEZ fragrances, inspired by Impressionists masters. A laboratory for his works, the boutique of the “so Bohême” rue Quincampoix displays, like a museum of fine arts, these Cézanne inspired fragrances, articulated hand-in-hand with Karine Chevallier, an ex-assistant of Jean-Claude Ellena and a pupil of François Blayne, himself a student of Emond Roudnitska.

The key creations of Stéphane Humbert Lucas:

Profound, complex oil-painting-like fragrances, built around three main materials.

The Hype Noses

Multi-sensorial perfumed candles, of vegetable wax with a mahogany wick. Tongue-in-cheek names for perfumes full of Stimmung.

“Sound of Light” scented sparkling candles.

A luxurious and sensual Oriental-inspired brand, with Arabic-named titles. An ode to the beauty and magic of life.

A decisive encounter with the Perfumer Henri Sorsana (Ted Lapidus, Creed, Annick Goutal, L’Artisan Parfumeur) confirms Stéphane Humbert Lucas’ desire to develop his creativity through synesthesia, the fusion of cognitive senses.

Stéphane lives for writing and travelling. Fragrance is a catalyst. Deeply moved by the Arabic world, that he considers as the cradle to all living cultures, the creator brings life to his fantasies through the olfactory sense.

Stéphane twists the codes of traditional perfumery.

Like fragments of Orient.
